Hi, thanks for visiting my dive site.

Writing about one's self is tough, you try to sound humble and either come off boring or insincere, you tell the real story and sound braggadocio or insincere. Aw, to heck with it, here's the short straight version.

I've always been a hero and a man's man. I believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. I've worked all my life to develop character and pretty much ended up being one. I spend my every waking moment on having fun or the day just isn't worth doing. That includes hard work and hard play. One can have both.

I was born in Florida and am a sagittarian (December 2nd). I am a licensed private investigator, former cop. I teach scuba and have a dive charter business. My greatest love in life is, of course, diving. Every day spent diving is a day you don't have to explain to anyone. It is my wish to spend the rest of my life teaching others how to dive, it's selling FUN for a living, not a bad thing. If you can understand this agenda, welcome aboard. Otherwise, leave Captain John alone. I have two more books in the works, one about spear fishing and another on Florida's West Coast Diving Sites (GPS numbers, etc.) For more about me and what I do, see my Resume.
