Response gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and
First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver,
Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle
potentially life-threatening situations.
Emergency First Response
follows the standards set forth in the consensus view of
the Basic Life Support (BLS) Working Group of the
International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
ILCOR is an international standards group representing
many organizations. A source authority for the
development of content material in the Emergency First
Response program is Guidelines 2000 for Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care,
International Consensus of Science, Circulation, 2000;
Vol. 102 (suppl I); ©2000 America Heart Association®,
Inc. Medical content review was completed by an
international group of respected physicians.

First Response program brings you professional,
educationally and medically reviewed CPR and First Aid
courses that meet international standards, yet allows
flexibility for regional variations.

What will I do?
This comprehensive program is composed of two core
modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone
courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and
Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together,
these courses proved extensive instruction in CPR and
First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended)
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency
Oxygen sections.
How long will it
take?
- Depending on
the amount of home study, the Primary and
Secondary courses maybe completed in as little as
four hours.

Where can I go
from here?
This course satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR
prerequisite.
What
is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course is $125.00 and includes
participant pack and certification card. $200.00 with
Optional Dan O2/PADI O2 certifications. Optional courses
will require an additional 4 to 6 hours of class room
training.
