Gulf of Mexico Conditions

The Gulf of Mexico waters are starting to cool down to a still warm 80 degrees. This month fish should start the annual southern run for fishing fun. Captain Richard (left) and son Hunter Daniel (right) took these nice bugs from the Gulf recently (10.5 and 8.5 pounds).

Crystal River Conditions

A bit windy lately but the river is always a 72 degree pleasure. There are 35+ manatees in the river now. Many new calves. Tourist manatees will start showing up this month. There will be over 300+ in the river by January. Former students get discounts on dives with us. So if you need a tune up dive or a little adventure contact us.

October Calendar

We are open for diving and training dates the first two weeks of October, but are fairly busy the last of October. The manatees will start arriving the end of the month so if you want to dive with us book now. Check calendar for dates available here!

Huey is missing!

The mystery begins.... On March 4th, 2007, while attempting to teach two "girly boys" how to deep dive at Blue Grotto, Huey "went missing". I had taken Louie and Dewey on the dive to demonstrate pressure changes at depth. I'd left Huey behind with Dumbella (the boys' mom) on the dash of my truck. Big mistake! We certify divers using the DAN, EFR, MDEA, PADI, SDI and TDI, systems of diver education. DAN (Divers Alert Network) is the leader in diver safety research, CPR and diver insurance. PADI eLearning

Earlier this year PADI completed their first Online Scuba training course, Openwater Diver. This course allows the student to complete the academics at their leasure. We now offer this course to our students. For additional information on PADI Open Water eLearning click here!
